Four Furniture Picks for May

Four Furniture Picks for May

It’s been a foggy few days, lots of grays and muted colors, with the occasional golden rays of sunshine peeking through the clouds. These first few days of May have given us some understated but beautiful color schemes, inspiring this month’s Four Picks for May.

Mitchell Console by Universal

This console table and stools by Universal is an incredibly versatile piece. It can be used as a sofa back table, a breakfast bar, or a console table. The brushed finish of the metal supports warms the otherwise industrial material, and blends well with the gray-washed wooden top, giving off a lovely modern farmhouse vibe. The three stools that come with the console table are a great addition! The textured upholstered seat is very comfortable, and the brushed metallic legs reflect the slightly industrial look of the console table without being matchy-matchy. Such a stylish piece! Vallo Table Lamp by Uttermost

We can’t get enough of this rich gray lamp. Minimalist in its monochromatic coloring and lack of decoration, this understated accent is very chic! Despite its minimalist design, it is also very elegant due in part to the traditional shape and linen shade. It can be a bold statement in a traditional setting, or blend perfectly with a more modern style.

Lighting can make a huge difference in a space, whether you are using it as an accent or to lighten up a dark room. Whether you’re looking for table lamps, floor lamps, or ceiling lighting, check out our accessories page for some inspiration!

Gray Cozy Shag Rug by Loloi Rugs

This rug makes you want to take your shoes off…  And aside from being incredibly lush, it is a fantastic way to warm up your space. Whichever room you choose to place this rug, it will instantly make it the coziest in the house! Pair it with this Gretchen Sofa by Flexsteel for a plush and elegant look!

Headlights Painted Canvas by Uttermost

The art that you choose to hang on your wall can completely change the entire feeling of the room. Luckily, this hand-painted canvas piece is pretty versatile. Painted in mainly neutrals with bits of gold, it can go with almost any color scheme. The gold can add a bit of pop to a modern space while the abstract gestures blends in to the style. The gold can also compliment the elegance of traditional furniture, while the light, neutral colors keep it from going overboard. It can even work in a coastal home, with the beachy neutrals keeping the space warm and bright.

We just love all of the art from Uttermost, almost all canvases are hand painted, making it feel like it was made just for you!
